Mammon by Evelyn De Morgan is on loan to the exhibition ‘Capitalism’ at the Bundeskunsthalle, in Bonn, Germany, where it is sadly on lockdown.

The exhibition explores the rise of Capitalism and artistic responses to it. As a Spiritualist artist, De Morgan believed that one should reject material wealth in favour of finding spiritual wealth and she explored this idea in many of her paintings.
