William De Morgan’s Egyptian Exploration

Friday 18th June 2021 – 12pm

Primarily focusing on his work with the Egyptian Government in 1892, and the 8 weeks he spent in Cairo, this lecture will explore the preservation work and research of William De Morgan, into the history of Egyptian glaze pottery.

De Morgan at The Slade School of Art

Friday 2nd July 2021 – 5pm

In this talk, the Courtauld’s Charlotte de Mille will introduce us to the Slade School of Art as it was in the Victorian period when Evelyn De Morgan studied there, with particular attention paid to her experience of the Slade as a female pupil.
