Description

The Lecture

Three generations of Victorian artists revolutionised the visual arts in Britain, reaffirming the value of beauty and the handmade in a rapidly changing world. In this online talk, find out how the Pre-Raphaelites, William Morris and his circle, and the Arts and Crafts Movement looked to the past to imagine a better future, transforming British art and design. Victoria Osborne is Curator (Fine Art) and Curatorial Team Leader at Birmingham Museums Trust and is co-curator of the Victorian Radicals exhibition (Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, 9 February-31 October 2024).
