Once the family home of Evelyn De Morgan’s ancestors, Cannon Hall is now a museum and art gallery and the perfect setting for the exhibition ‘A Family of Artists’. Displaying around 60 stunning paintings, drawings and ceramics from the De Morgan Collection, this exhibition explores the influence of artist and Cawthorne local, John Roddam Spencer Stanhope on his niece Evelyn De Morgan and their continued artistic influence on each other’s lives and careers.

Join us on 28 February for our volunteer led tours of the exhibition ‘A Family of Artists’.

On this FREE fascinating guided tour you will see a beautiful array of works by the artists, many of which are on public display for the first time and include masterpieces such as Evelyn De Morgan’s Flora, delicate drawings, curious decorative arts such as a head of Medusa with a gilded background of snakes and of course William De Morgan’s highly recognisable, brightly coloured and detailed ceramics.
