Wightwick Manor and Gardens
Built in 1887, Wightwick Manor is a shrine to the Arts and Crafts movement. The sumptuous interiors and original De Morgan tiled fireplaces provide the perfect setting for the De Morgan Collection to be housed in a purpose-built gallery in the grounds. The current exhibition Look Beneath the Lustre invites visitors to discover how the wonderful De Morgan artworks were created.
The gardens only at Wightwick Manor are open to the public. Tickets for specific time slots must be booked online in advance and can be bought on Wightwick Manor website. The house and the De Morgan Gallery remain closed for the time being.
Please be assured that all De Morgan partner sites will be adhering to Government guidance for reopening and that the health and safety of visitors and a staff is the first priority when welcoming you back. Each site will open for those with pre-booked tickets only, there will be limited capacity, one-way systems, floor markings, hand sanitizer points, and staff will wear PPE where appropriate. Please be prepared to pay by card, to practice social distancing, for clear perspex screens at counters and in shops, and for our staff and volunteers to be wearing PPE.
To protect you on your visits, we have removed all printed and interactive materials from the galleries and encourage you to prepare for you visit in advance by reading information about the displays on here or download it to your own smart phone or device to guide you through the De Morgan Gallery.
