This gold lustre earthenware dish is decorated with a magnificent displaying peacock whose fanned tail fills the width of the dish in a highly intricate design. The bird appears on a pale pink background with yet more intricate swirls.
The reverse of the dish is decorated with De Morgan’s signature concentric ring pattern and contains the pottery marks ‘W.DM Fulham’ and the decorator’s mark ‘CP’.
