Did you know that William De Morgan was the son of a mathematician and was inspired by the beauty of geometry to create his designs? The De Morgan Foundation's touring exhibition 'Sublime Symmetry' focusses in depth on this aspect of William De Morgan's work. This accompanying publication gives a detailed insight into the mathematics behind De Morgan's designs, with colour reproductions of the exhibits. With contributions from Dr June Barrow Green, London Mathematical Society, Professor Robb McDonald, University College London, and an extended essay by Sarah Hardy, De Morgan Foundation. Published by the De Morgan Foundation in 2016.
