The talk will focus primarily on just what Sir Edward Poynter meant when he described the artists as ‘rare spirits’. What was it that set them apart from William Morris, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Edward Burne-Jones and their other contemporaries.

We will ‘visit’ Leighton House in London’s fashionable Holland Park, Villa Nuti in Florence, and of course the Laing exhibition, all from the comfort of home.
